Cascade, area rally to help Arbuckle Floral rebuild after fire

“Open” is not the only message greeting visitors to the new location of Arbuckle Floral, which is operating in a building across from the bank in Cascade (once operated as a restaurant).

Members of the local community have been very generous in their support of the Arbuckle family, after a fire destroyed their home and business on Jan. 5. Behind Jessica Arbuckle on the cover are some of the many vases and other items that have been donated.

Arbuckle Floral can still fulfill orders for cut flowers.

“It’s amazing what people are all doing to support us,” said Jessica Arbuckle. (As she was describing the community’s caring and generosity, a resident came in to drop off several bags, containing blankets and other items.)

Also lending assistance has been the Future Business Leaders of America.

Upoming fundraisers include:

• A brunch and silent auction will be held April 19 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 509 Milwaukee Ave. in Cascade.

Ongoing fundraisers:

• All-American HVAC of Adell will donate 10 percent of its HVAC sales or service through the month of February.

• J & J Recycling, Plymouth, will donate money raised from collecting aluminum cans.

• Thrivent Financial For Lutherans, West Sheboygan County chapter will provide supplemental funding.
