To the Editor,

On behalf of the Plymouth Intergenerational Board of Directors we are very pleased and honored that a delegation representing PIC/Generations is attending an award ceremony on Capitol Hill, in Washington DC, on February 11, 2015 to accept an award from the MetLife Foundation for “The Best Intergenerational Community”. Plymouth is one of three communities receiving the award, with a third being named a National Finalist. The other winning communities are Greater Richmond-VA, Carlisle-MA, and a fourth recipient as a National Finalist-City of Surprise, AZ.

The PIC Delegation consists of our Executive Director-Joann VanHorn Wieland, PIC Founder and Board Member-Marsha Vollbrecht, Generations Youth Volunteer/ Representative from PHS-Drew Schweiger, and Larry Bray-Generations Senior Volun- teer/Representative.

The PIC Board is very proud of this award, our delegates, and our Community. Collectively we want to thank everyone who contributed to our achieving this National Award. Thank you to each and every donor, the local businesses who continue to support and sustain our daily operations, our tenants and partners, our volunteers who make it happen daily, the PIC Staff, our Executive Director, PIC Members, and local service groups who have also generously supported us through different events. Take great pride in knowing our community worked hard and earned this recognition as a whole.

The PIC Board is grateful to each and every one of you.
