Hugh Drewry, 89, of Plymouth died peacefully Thursday at Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice.

Hugh was born in Marinette WI on November 16, 1925, son of Charles and Carol (Jewett) Drewry. After graduation from Marinette High School, he immediately went into the Army and saw service with the 86th Infantry Division in Europe and the Philippines.

He attended Michigan Technology University, and graduated with honors in 1947 with a B.S. in electrical engineering.

Hugh worked for various companies and retired from Kohler Company where he was the manager of engineering in the Generator Division.

He married Ellen Svoboda in 1951. Hugh and Ellen loved to travel and visited 56 countries.

Survivors include his 9 children: Dan and Chris Drewry, Marc and Keri Drewry, Andrew and Jane Drewry, James and Kristine Drewry, Mary and Don Fink, Matthew and Anne Drewry, Phillip and Nancy Drewry, Julie and Rick Packard and Paul Drewry. 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Montrose, and his brothers George and Charles.

Memorials are being established for Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice, St John the Baptist Church, Sheboygan County Right to Life, or a charity of your choice.

Visitation was held at St John the Baptist on Monday, February 9th from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with a memorial Mass following. Hugh chose to donate his body to the UW Medical School.
