Bethel Mae Green, age 83 of Plymouth, WI passed away early Sunday afternoon (Feb. 8, 2015) at the Waterford in Plymouth.

She was born on August 14, 1931 in Cedarburg, WI, the first daughter of the late Walter and Mabel (Gruenewald) Hoffmann.

She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949.

On June 28, 1958 she married Robert Green in Plymouth, WI. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage and enjoyed many happy winters together in Las Vegas.

Bethel worked at GTE for 30 years retiring in 1991.

She was actively involved in the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post 5612 Auxiliary as past president and treasurer for many years.

She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth and also held offices of President and Treasurer of the Ladies Group at the church. She also served on the church council, sang in the church choir and helped with making quilts for Lutheran World Relief.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years: Robert Green of Plymouth; two sons: Larry (Marsha) Green of Overland Park, KS and Ted Green of Sheboygan; two step granddaughters: Nikohl (Thomas) Williams and Natalie (Kevin) Simpson; five step great grandchildren: Jonas, Marah and Gavin Williams and Keara and Bayson Simpson; one sister: Anette (Jess) LeMahieu of Plymouth and two brothers-in-law: Vern Rietbrock of Ada, WI and Frank (Darlene) Green of New Mexico.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bethel was preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Lois Rietbrock; mother and father-in-law, one nephew, three brothers-inlaw and one sister-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning Feb. 14 at 11 A.M. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Entombment will be in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday, Feb. 13, from 4-7 P.M. and at the church on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bethel’s name.
