MARIAN M. BOLDT

Marian M. Boldt, age 85 of Plymouth, WI passed away peacefully late Monday evening, Feb. 16, at the Waterford of Plymouth where she had been a resident for the past 2 years.

She was born on May 1, 1929 in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of late Lyman L. and Frieda (Hoppe) Rucks.

Marian attended Oshkosh Area Grade Schools and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1947. She worked at the Wisconsin Axle Company in Oshkosh for ten years. On June 1, 1957, she married Harry H. Boldt in Oshkosh, WI.

The couple resided in Plymouth since their marriage.

She worked at Gilson Company in Plymouth for 26 years, retiring in 1992.

Her husband preceded her in death on December 30, 2003.

Marian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She had been the recording secretary for the Church for several years.

She was a member of many bridge clubs in the area and was also a member of the Plymouth Women’s Club, now known as the Women’s Civic Group.

Survivors include two daughters: Jennifer (Gerald) Pennell of Plymouth and Barbara (David) Karsten of Plymouth; five grandchildren: Scot (Claire) Pennell of Oshkosh, Ryan Pennell of Plymouth, Stephanie Karsten (Fiance): Tim Schultz) of Glenbeulah, Samantha (Zak) Tess of Mankato, MN and Michael Karsten of Oshkosh; two great grandchildren: Chloe and Henry Pennell; one sister: Virginia (John) Phillips of Oshkosh and one Sister-in-law: Judy Rucks of Fremont, WI.

Marian is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Harry, one sister: Mildred (Kenneth) Phillips and one brother: Lyman Rucks.

Memorial services will be held on Friday evening,Feb. 20, at 6:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, pastor of the church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends and relatives may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marian’s name for St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth or the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
