Klumpyan GFWC Girl of the Month


MAKAYLA KLUMPYAN MAKAYLA KLUMPYAN GFWC Women’s Club of Plymouth Girl of the Month recipient for January 2015 is Makayla Klumpyan.

Makayla is a senior at Plymouth High School. She was born and raised on a horse farm in Plymouth, where she lives with her parents, Terry and Paula, and her sisters, Megan and Morgan.

Makayla has taken multiple accelerated classes throughout high school and enjoys science and agriculture classes the most.

Makayla is involved in many clubs and organizations such as 4-H, FFA, Student council, National Honor Society and photography club. She is also a science and math tutor.

Makayla is currently the FFA president. Through FFA and 4-H, she judges horses competitively and has won many Midwestern compe- titions. In the fall of 2014, Makayla competed in a national 4-H horse judging competition in Louisville, Ky., where she and her team took eighth overall.

In her free time, Makayla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and riding horses. She shows her horse Thunder competitively and rides Thunder in speed events such as barrel racing.

Makayla is planning to attend the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and major in animal science with pre-vet emphasis. She will go on to Veterinary school to become a large animal veterinarian. She says with a big smile that she hopes to own her own veterinary practice someday.

Makayla wants to thank her parents for always pushing her to do her best and supporting her in everything she does.
