DOUGLAS P. “DOUG” DAHM

Douglas P. “Doug” Dahm, age 70 of Elkhart Lake, WI passed away peacefully Friday evening (Feb. 20) at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Parkinson”s and Alzheimer’s.

Doug was born on May 2, 1944 in Port Washington, WI, a son of Michael Dahm and the late Julia Ruppert Dahm.

He worked for Feider Trucking of Cedar Grove for 10 years moving to Elkhart Lake where he has been farming since 1970.

On April 2, 1977 he married Cheryl Dose in Two Rivers, WI. The couple has resided in Elkhart Lake after their marriage.

Doug was a member of the Farm Bureau Association. He enjoyed spending time with his loving grandchildren and farming, farming and more farming.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years: Cheryl of Elkhart Lake; six children: Audrey Dahm (Special friend: Jeremy) of Howards Grove, Douglas M Dahm (Special friend: Kathy) of Elkhart Lake, Bridget (Tom) Bartel of Chilton, Daniel Dahm (Special friend: Kristin) of Manitowoc, Brenda Dahm (Special friend: Shaun) of Minneapolis, MN and Kevin Dahm (Special friend: Jackie) of Elkhart Lake; five grandchildren: Abby, Tevin, Hayden, Joey and Natalie; his father: Michael Dahm of Cascade; his mother-in-law: Sylvia Hennig of Two Rivers; his step mother-in-law: Corrine Dose of Manitowoc; six brothers and sisters: Clarence (Nancy) Dahm of Fredonia, Roger Dahm of West Bend, Donald (Mary) Dahm of Howards Grove, Gary (Lori) Dahm of Belgium, Dennis Dahm of Belgium and Monica (Peter) Deheck of Howards Grove; three brother-in-laws: David (Patty) Dose of Mishicot, James (Lariann) Dose of Mishicot and Paul (Tammie) Dose of Manitowoc and three sisterin laws: Doreen Dahm of Belgium, Bonnie Dahm of Belgium and Kay (Rick) Wirrer of Two Rivers.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Julia; two brothers: James and Richard Dahm; granddaughter: Daisy Dahm; step mother: Shirley Dahm and Father-in-law: Erwin Dose.

Funeral services will be held on Friday evening, Feb. 27, at 7:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Lakes/St. Nicholas Cemetery in Dacada.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00 P.M. on Friday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Doug’s name.
