Duplex damaged in early morning fire Friday

An early-morning fire Friday damaged an Eastern Avenue duplex.

The Plymouth Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 925 Eastern Ave. at 2:47 a.m. Friday. Flames were visible upon arrival fire department’s arrival.

The fire was contained to the upper level of the two-family home. No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Cause of the fire is believed to be electrical. No damage estimate available at this time.

The residents are staying with friends.

Plymouth Fire Department was assisted by Kohler Fire, City of Sheboygan Falls Fire, Town of Sheboygan Falls Fire, Cascade Fire, Elkhart Lake Fire and Greenbush Fire along with the Sheboygan Co Fire Investigation Unit.

Firefighters remained at the scene until 7 a.m.
