Falls man flighted after farm accident

A 17-year-old town of Sheboygan Falls male was taken by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital of Wisconisn in Milwaukee following a farm accident Sunday afternoon.

Sunday the Sheboygan County Emergency Dispatch Center received a request for medical assistance at W4357 Sumac Rd. in the town of Sheboygan Falls at approximately 4:51 p.m. regarding a man caught in a piece of farm machinery. The man was working on an auger in a silo when he got caught in the equipment. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, town of Sheboygan Falls Fire Department, town of Sheboygan Falls First Responders, city of Sheboygan Fall Fire Department, Cedar Grove Fire Department, Orange Cross Ambulance, and Flight for Life all responded. All agencies worked together using their technical rescue skills to extricate the patient from the machinery located in a silo, and subsequently removed the patient from the silo.
