‘Frog & Toad’ musical planned for youth audience families

Theater For Young Audiences will offer A Year With Frog & Toad KIDS for audiences of two to eight year olds and their parents at TYA’s Theater Factory, 1305 St. Clair Avenue, Sheboygan.

Based on Arnold Lobel‚Äôs stories, this jazzy forty-five minute musical is directed by Hannah E. Benton and Katy Sue Ries and designed by Mary Whitehurst Burkey. It follows the friendship of Frog and Toad thru the seasons with songs like “Cookies”, “Getta Loada Toad”, “Leaves”, and “Down the Hill”.

Twenty-five area youngsters play the following roles: Frog (Bella Szyman), Toad (Abby Wetzel), Birds (Mara Hammen, Laurynn List, Caidence Mendez, Julianna Neu), Snails (Havier Kiesow, Matthew Staats, Leif Thompson), Mice (Sofie Bartol, Amber Klobucher, Gavin Rankin, Lucy Thoresen), Turtles (Aidan Crimmins, Owen Denson, Savanna Gahagan, Nate Letscher), Squirrels (Elise Friedel, Abigail Meulbroek, Paige Mikkelson, Sofia Santamaria-Micher) and Moles (Catie Denson, Shayne Gahagan, Calyssa Hall, Rachel Marventano).

The 6:30 p.m. performance on Thursday, March 12 is “Donate at the Door Night”. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for 6:30 p.m. performances on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 plus 2 p.m. performances on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. Infants are admitted free of charge.
