As You See It Persick

To the Editor,

I encourage you to vote for Rebecca Persick to be the next Sheboygan County Circuit Court Judge. I have known and worked with Rebecca for sixteen years. She is very bright, professional, thoughtful and treats others with respect.

For the past eleven years, she has done an outstanding job serving as the appointed Sheboygan County Court Commissioner, working closely with and performing many similar duties as our elected Circuit Court Judges.

In fact, her predecessor, Judge Terry Bourke, was also the County Court Commissioner for many years and thanks to his excellent experience and even temperament was elected one of our five Circuit Court Judges. Rebecca Persick will make the same seamless transition.

As Court Commissioner, Rebecca is one of our eighteen county department heads. As a result, I know her well, and each year I ask for input about her job performance from people like Chief Circuit Court Judge Ed Stengel and others that interact with Rebecca on a regular basis.

Without exception, year after year I received glowing feedback about her professionalism, even temperament, good judgment, integrity, dedication and that she does an outstanding job.

As you might imagine, being Court Commissioner or Circuit Court Judge is an incredibly challenging job. It requires you to be impartial, very knowledgetwo able of the law, an excellent listener, and to keep your emotions out of highly emotional and serious criminal and family matters. You must be unbiased and treat everyone in your courtroom with respect.

Rebecca Persick has a proven track record and earned the respect of the circuit court judges, the current and prior sheriff, law enforcement officers, attorneys, social workers, her co-workers and the broader legal community. She is the most qualified person to be the next Circuit Court Judge, and I’m proud to endorse her. On April 7th I encourage you to vote for Rebecca Persick.
