Storm spotter class at PHS

Anyone wishing to learn more about thunderstorms and tornadoes is invited to attend a Weather Spotter Class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24 at Plymouth High School.

The free class will be held in the auditorium at the school, located at 125 Highland Ave. It is open to the public and appropriate for all ages but likely most interesting for those in grade six and up. The instructor will be a meteorologist from the National Weather Service office in Sullivan.

The class is sponsored the Sheboygan County Office of Emergency Management, the National Weather Service and Plymouth School District Community Education & Recreation.

Severe weather spotters help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. They provide essential information for all types of weather hazards, but primarily identify and describe severe local storms.
