Comm Ed offers crafts, babysitting

Plymouth School District Community Education and Recreation is offering a new craft class using recyclables, plus another session of its popular Babysitting Clinic.

Register by April 10 and save $10 on the following classes, which will meet at Plymouth High School, 125 Highland Ave., unless otherwise noted:

DIY Eco Crafts: Celebrate Earth Day by joining Tina Wick, owner of Arnst Zipper Studio, as she shares her eco secrets for creating simple works of art, jewelry and planters made from recycled items. Each participant will bring home at least two creations. Class will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21; fee is $10 until April 10, then $20.

Babysitting Clinic: Students in grades five through nine will learn to care for infants and children, including first aid, comfort techniques, appropriate snacks, fun and games, emergency procedures and being in charge. Participants receive a certificate of completion. Class will meet with instructor Denise Roth from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays from April 22 to 29 at Riverview Middle School, 300 Riverside Drive; fee is $25 until April 10, then $35.
