Dances with Horizon

Members of the American Indian Council of Milwaukee demonstrated a number of Indian dances and shared tribal costumes and customs with students at Horizon Elementary School Tuesday. The council members demonstrated dances from the Cree, Ho-chunk, Menominee, Ojibwe and Oneida tribes while explaining the meanings of the costumes and drumming that were part of the dances. They then invited students to participate in a Swan dance for girls (top) and a Fish dance for boys (bottom).
