Janet Lee Baumann, 72, of Plymouth, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls with her family by her side.

Janet was born March 25, 1943 in Plymouth, daughter of Theodore and Emma (Born) Hoffmann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth and attended grade school at St. John’s Lutheran School. Janet graduated from Plymouth High School in 1961.

On June 24, 1961 she married Donald Baumann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Janet was employed at Nesemann’s Jewelry during high school and later at Kalk’s Bar & Hall and the Plymouth Review. Her primary job and her labor of love was working side-\ by side with her husband on the family dairy farm and caring for her family.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Janet was a woman who loved her Lord and Savior and drew strength daily from Him. As she endured many health challenges during her time here on earth, it was always with a smile and love for all.

Janet enjoyed reading, hosting a Wednesday morning Bible study with her dear friends, flowers and watching the birds. The time spent over the past year at “The Cabin” on Shawano Lake surrounded by God’s beautiful creation brought her much joy.

Janet is survived by her husband: Donald of Plymouth, six children: Katherine (James) Mallmann of Mayville, Mark (Mary) Baumann of Plymouth, Kay Schwartz (friend Patrick Kapellen) of Town of Mosel, Karla Klapperich of Plymouth, Kendra Baumann of Cascade and Matthew (Rebecca) Baumann of Greenville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; One sister: Emagene Kuhlow of Sheboygan; Father-in-law: Earl Baumann of Sheboygan Falls; One brother-in-law: George (Rosemary) Baumann of Waupun; Three sisters in-law: Alice (Allan) Stader of Plymouth, Janet (Richard) Holler of Sheboygan Falls, and Linda (John) Fischer of Plymouth. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Brian, parents Theodore and Emma Hoffmann, grandson Christian Mallmann, motherin law Marion Baumann, and brother-in-law LeRoy Kuhlow.

Funeral services for Janet will be held on Wednesda, April 1, at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 222 North Stafford St. in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador and Rev. John Schultz, pastors of the church will co- officiate. Private family inurnment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in the town of Plymouth.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 1, at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Janet’s name for St. John’s Lutheran Church, Project Angel Hugs, and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
