Antiques appraisal at library

Antiques expert Mark Moran will be at the Plymouth Public Library Monday, April 20, beginning at 4 p.m., to provide informal appraisals on antiques and collectibles.

Moran is the author of more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles. He has bought and sold antiques for more than 30 years. He has been a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine, and a guest expert on “Antiques Roadshow.”

There is a limit to the number of items for evaluation, so make reservations early. Call the library (892-4416) or stop in to reserve an appraisal slot. Reservations made are for one item per person.

Accepted items include: fine art, furniture, ceramics, glassware, vintage photographs, advertising, folk art, toys, clocks, costume jewelry, metalware, musical instruments, books, and sporting memorabilia.

Unaccepted items include: all weapons (including swords, knives), traps, coins and paper money, fine jewelry (including precious gems), Nazi memorabilia and Beanie babies.

All are welcome to attend this free event. Even if you do not bring an item for appraisal, come and watch the proceedings. Mark your calendar and join us for an enjoyable time.
