One-day tree sale scheduled

The Sheboygan County Planning and Conservation Department will again be holding a one-day tree sale Saturday, April 25, beginning at 12 noon at the Aging, Disability and Resource Center (ADRC) building, 650 Forest Ave., Sheboygan Falls (former Agricultural office building).

More than 5,000 trees will be available for growing a windbreak, woodlot improvement, privacy screen planting and wildlife habitat. Between 50 and 300 trees of more than 30 different species will be available. Trees will be sold in quantities of 10.

There will also be potted evergreen stock as well as a variety of specialty packets available for sale.

Trees and shrubs are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. The program encourages property owners to plant native trees and shrubs, however there are some non-native species available as well.

Trees can be pre-ordered from late October to early March; plan ahead for next year by requesting to be placed on our order form mailing list.

To get additional information or to verify species availability, contact the Planning and Conservation Department at (920) 459-1370.
