PIC beneficiary of Krauss estate

DONALD KRAUSS DONALD KRAUSS The Plymouth Intergenerational Coalition is one of the recipients of the Don Krauss estate.

A supporter of the Plymouth Senior Center, now the Plymouth Adult Community Center for many, many years, Don passed away Dec. 12, 2013, at the age of 105.

He and his first wife Alma came to the Plymouth Senior Center often and appreciated the opportunities to socialize with others. They also supported the move and expansion of the center to Plymouth Intergenerational Coalition’s facility, Generations, and generously supported the initiative. One wing of the facility is named for Alma Krauss.

Don Krauss understood the concept of intergenerational programs, activities and relationships and the value that an intergenerational facility would bring to the larger community. The staff and Board of Directors of the Plymouth Intergenerational Coalition are extremely grateful to Don Krauss and his vision.

The board, staff and friends of Generations are planning an event, which will include recognition of Don and Alma. The event, called Celebrate Generations!, will take place Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One of the activities planned for the day will be to plant a tree in their memory on the campus. Everyone in the community is invited to join the festivities to celebrate this couple and their generosity to the community.
