Helga Holentunder, 82, of Plymouth, passed away early Tuesday morning (March 31, 2015) at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 11, 1932 in Vogelsdorf, Germany. On December 5, 1952, she married Joseph Holentunder in Germany. The couple moved to the Milwaukee area in 1954 before moving to Cascade in 1964. Joseph preceded her in death on August 10, 1989.

Helga worked for the West Bend Company for many years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, loved animals and birds, and most of all cherished spending time with her loving family. She was a True Blue Minnesota Viking fan.

Helga is survived by her two children: Rita (Russell) Peters of Adell, Peter (Lu) Holentunder of Cascade; Two grandchildren: Linda Holentunder of Plymouth, Sam Holentunder of Cascade; Three greatgrandchildren: Austin, Dakota, and Miranda; Two sisters: Gerda Behe of Germany, and Monika (Gerd) Peneder of Germany. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Siegfiet, and brother-inlaw: Rolf Behe.

Funeral Services were held on Monday (April 6) at 1:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Tom Fleischmann officiated. Entombment will be at the Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Peace Mausoleum.

Friends could call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Monday (April 6) from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
