Mill Street Fest set for July 11

The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Mill Street Festival in downtown Plymouth Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This community event offers live entertainment children’s activities, downtown merchants and a wide variety of vendors food and refreshment – a fun day for the entire family.

“This year we are adding something new” stated Mary Hauser, executive director of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce. “We are putting on a ‘Plymouth’s Got Talent’ session on our family stage area. This event will be open to any singing, dancing, entertainment act that is appropriate for family viewing. We will have judges and prizes and awards.”

The Music Stage, located at the west end of Mill Street, will feature the following:

The Real Deal Blues – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. And, as always, local favorite, Dave Steffen Band. A Mill Street Festival and regional favorite, Dave Steffen has made music his way of life. Steffen has devoted his life to playing, recording and living his music.

The Family Stage, located in the parking lot of the Plymouth Medial Plaza (515 E. Mill St.) will have the following:

Sue Darrow’s School of Dance will perform from 10 to 11 a.m. The Plymouth Municipal Band will take the stage from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Then the new event, “Plymouth’s Got Talent,” will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The Acoustic Stage will feature three different groups sure to entertain.

Whisper Hill Clydesdale Horse and Wagon rides, courtesy of Community Bank & Trust.

Petting zoo and pony rides at Stayer-Junior Park behind Mill Street.

Over 100 vendors, including downtown merchants, arts and crafts vendors, retail vendors and community organizations offering a wide variety of products, services, food and refreshments.
