Julie A. Schmitt, age 51 of Three Lakes, WI, passed away Thursday afternoon (April 16, 2015) at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI where she had been a patient for the past 5 weeks after an eight month courageous battle with scleroderma renal crisis.

She was born on August 27, 1963 in Fond du Lac WI, the daughter of Joyce (Enders) Schmitt and the late Ronald J. Schmitt.

She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1981.

She was formerly married to Mark Krueger in 1981.

She worked at Plymouth Piggly Wiggly for many years, Invest Financial out of the Fox Valley Area, owner/operator of Tomahawk Lodge and Resort, and was currently Branch Manager at Park City Credit Union, Tomahawk.

She belonged to the Northwoods Passage Snowmobile Club and Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce.

She enjoyed spending time with her loving granddaughter Lily and her close friends in the Northwoods. She was the biggest fan of the Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by: her companion Mark Kirby of Three Lakes; One son: Joe Krueger (special friend Julia Faust) of Tomahawk; her loving granddaughter: Lily Krueger; her mother: Joyce Schmitt of Plymouth;Four brothers and sisters: Sherry (John) Gallagher of Cascade, Karin (Phil) Laska of Fond du Lac, Kelly (Kevin) Harvey of Campbellsport, John (Kari) Schmitt of Plymouth. 12 nieces and nephews: Rick (Nikee) Enders, Leah (Nate) Murray, Craig (Jayna) DeSmidt, Alex Gallagher, Ryan Gallagher, Tyler, Matthew and Megan Laska, Jared Engel and Zach Harvey, Madison and Jordan Schmitt; and three great nieces and one great nephew.

She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Ronald; and one brother-in-law: Gary Engel.

Prayer service will be held on Monday April 20th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mount Calvary.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Monday until the time of services.
