State 67 project begins Monday

Construction will begin Monday, April 27 on a $3.18 million project to improve .83 miles of State 67 from the Mullet River to Suhrke Road in the city of Plymouth. The work will be conducted in two stages. Construction will finish in November.

Vinton Construction Company of Manitowoc is the prime contractor.

This project involves reconstruction of State 67 from the Mullet River bridge between River Bend Drive and Evergreen Drive to Suhrke Road, resurfacing and repairs to the Mullet River bridge, and water utility, storm sewer and sanitary sewer reconstruction.

State 67 will be closed to through traffic during construction. Access to local businesses and properties will be maintained.

The following detour will be in place:

Stage one, April 27 – late June 2015: Traffic will be detoured using County PP, County E, and County C.

Stage two, late June 2015 – November 2015: Traffic will be detoured using County C and State 23.

The construction schedule is subject to change. Motorists should anticipate delays, use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
