Panthers’ Lisowe shines at Omro Invite

OMRO – Junior Morgan Lisowe scored an impressive 28 team points to propel the Plymouth Panthers to a runner-up finish in the girls meet at Saturday’s Omro Track Invitational.

Lisowe won the 100-meter dash in 13.63 seconds and the 200 sprint at 28.33 and also placed second in the long jump with a 15-¾ performance.

The Panthers racked up 150.5 points in the eight-team field. Freedom won the title with 182.67.

PHS finished third in the eightteam boys meet with 95 points. Freedom rolled to victory with an outstanding 201, followed by Omro with 97.

Samuel Staehling and Jake Schneider led the PHS boys with two top-three finishes each. Staehling and Schneider finished 2-3, respectively, in the 100. Schneider and Staehling placed 2-3, respectively, in the 200 race.

“We had a good meet [for both teams] against some tough competition. For the girls, Morgan Lisowe had a fantastic meet, with strong races and a good effort in the long jump,” said PHS head coach Jay Grosshuesch.

“For the boys, our sprinters did very well. Samuel, Jake, Evan [Sebranek] and Dominic [Bocchini] competed very well in their opens [races] and as part of our relays.”
