“It was another nail-biter. We settled down and played ball the last five innings. I’m proud of the girls. They never quit,” said Resorter head coach Brian Feldmann.

“We had some key hits and took advantage of their mistakes. We put pressure on their defense [with sacrifice bunts and stealing] and I think we forced them into some mistakes.

“We had a huge home crowd which helped us,” said the coach.

Oostburg committed six errors which led to seven unearned runs by Elkhart. The Resorters were guilty of four errors which led to five unearned runs.

Rachael Flora paced EL-G in hits with two. Zorn had a team-high two RBIs. Feldmann, Raechel Grunewald, Zorn and Maddie Schneider led in runs with two each.

Jess Mullikin led Oostburg in RBIs with three.

Zorn earned a complete-game win. She allowed three earned runs on eight hits with six walks, two hit batters and two strikeouts.

Two Lady Dutch pitchers combined for six walks and seven strikeouts.
