SFHS spring concert set

The Sheboygan Falls High School Instrumental Music Department will present their annual Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 13, at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The bands will be celebrating the music they played on their recent band trip to Memphis and New Orleans.

The Symphonic Band will open the program with “Ritual” by Nelhybel, “On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss” by Holsinger, “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” by Neil Diamond and “The Witch and the Saint” by Reineke.

The High School Wind Ensemble will then take the stage and play “George Washington Bicentennial March” by Sousa, “Southern Hymn” by Hazo, “Original Dixieland Concerto” by Warrington and “Festive Overture” by Shostakovich.

The Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble are under the direction of Derek Beekhuizen.

The concert is open to the public and is free of charge.
