Tiger boys win CLC triangular

HOWARDS GROVE – Senior Eric Dvorachek was a doublewinner in leading the Howards Grove Tigers to victory in Tuesday’s Central Lakeshore Conference boys triangular track meet.

Dvorachek captured first place in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs in 1 minutes, 10.25 seconds and 4:47.60, respectively.

The Tigers scored 70 points, followed by Cedar Grove-Belgium with 51 and Ozaukee, 47.

Cedar Grove-Belgium won the girls meet with 56 points, followed by HGHS at 52 and Ozaukee, 46.

Junior Noelle Eschen and sophomore Kjersten Grinna won two events each to pace the Tigers. Eschen took first in the 100 dash in 13.00 seconds and the 200 race in 27.78. Grinna swept the hurdles – winning the 100 highs in 18.28 and the 300 lows in 51.44.

The Tigers’ other winners in the boys meet were Carson Teske in the triple jump with a 36-9½ performance and the 400 relay (members unavailable) in 44.79. The HGHS girls’ other first- place finishers were Ali Schueler in the discus with an 89-1 effort and Mattie Milz in the 800 with a time of 2:44.99.
