Yard police

As You See It

To the Editor,

Well, the local yard police are at it again. They are now sending local police officers who are trained in law enforcement , not art criticism to look at peoples yards, decide what they feel looks abominable and order them to get rid of it, or modify its presence.

With drug deals going down and violent crimes being committed our SPD officers are directed to be judges of lawns deemed less that total in esthetic beauty.

Many may think it’s good or at least acceptable for that to be happening, but is it? Many a police state have started to usurp citizens’ rights and has grown to be a powerful force and made those citizens comply with increasingly unfair demands, even arrest them for what should be understood as a God-given right.

The time to deal with it is now! Call your alderperson, it may help.
