DOROTHY NORMA BEHR

Dorothy Norma (Nee Kuhn) Behr, age 84 of rural Waldo, WI, passed away at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center late Wednesday May 13, 2015.

Dorothy was born on June 22, 1930.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Elsie Kuhn. She was raised by her Grandparents, the late Albert and Anna (Steitz) Kuhn.

Dorothy Kuhn attended the Dye Road Grade School in rural Sheboygan Falls and received her Lakeshore Technical Institute GED High School degree on May 8, 1978. She later attended LTC, Cleveland, WI where she received her degree in floral design.

Dorothy Kuhn married Edward Behr on June 6, 1953. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1974. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Wayne Dennis Behr, and her two brothers, Harold and Joseph Seil.

Dorothy Behr was a loving mother and showed this in her cooking, baking and gardening. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens which many people enjoyed seeing. She enjoyed going fishing with Darwin. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Polka music and dancing at the Sheboygan fair. She also enjoyed going to the Old Country Buffet for dinner with her son, Donald.

Dorothy was a poll worker at the Lyndon Town Hall. She worked at various stores doing demos for Woodlake at Kohler, where she worked in the bakery department. She also worked at Walmart in Sheboygan, Sentry Foods in Plymouth, and also worked at Memorial Mall.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Donald and Darwin Behr, who resided with her and took care of her.

Dorothy is further survived by her sisters: Ramona Stommel of West Bend, Evelyn (John) Goelzer of Fredonia, Caroline (Robert) Hiers of Sheboygan Falls, Mae (James) Giese of South Carolina; Four brothers; Henry Seil Jr of Cascade, Kenneth Seil of Cascade, Francis (Kathy) Seil of Plymouth and Gerald(Linda) Seil of Adell, One brother in-law, Arno(Linda) Behr of Waldo. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, relatives and was Godmother to Karen Kuhn of Mt. Calvary.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 6:30 PM at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth, WI. Reverend Tom Fleischman will officiate. Burial will be in the Waldo Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the afternoon at Suchon Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being set up in her name to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
