Tuesday May 26, 2015: Square Foot Gardening

Would you like to maximize your vegetable yield with a small amount of space? Would you like to know where to find resource information about square foot gardening? This new gardening method makes growing flowers or vegetables simple and fun. Learn from our guest garden expert, Jim Pecquex who will share first-hand information about square foot gardening. Help us spread some mulch in our patio garden and then come inside for the program, handouts and refreshments.

The Golden Gardeners Club is a social and educational health promotion program that provides seniors and their families and friends an opportunity to listen to an instructive presentation, to share garden stories and ask questions of the guest garden expert. Golden Gardeners are also invited to bring garden tools and work in our new patio garden or just watch and enjoy.

The Golden Gardeners Club is sponsored by the Aging and Disability Resource Center and the Aging Unit Dining Site Program. Participants are invited to stay and dine at the Sheboygan Falls dining site after the program. Cost for diners is a donation for those over 60 and $6.40 for individuals under the age of 60. Call 467-4100 1 day in advance to make a reservation.
