“We did a really nice job capitalizing on scoring opportunities. We stressed entering the game to possess and switch the field when we had the opportunity,” said Panther head coach Brad Feick.

“We had a lot of players score and get into an offensive rhythm. The game was tough early but once we got our second goal we seemed to gain confidence and were able to put goals away.”

PHS held an impressive 16-2 edge in shots on goal. Bolland and Taylor Heyrman split the goalkeeper duties for Plymouth, with Bolland making one save. Warrior goalie Jenna Hilt made seven saves.

Hilt scored the Warriors’ goal on a free kick.

“We were able to try a few different types of lineups and learn a little more about the type of team that we can continue to develop into. Emily Majerus facilitated as a central midfielder and delivered good passes into space,” said Feick.

“Kaylee Koenig and Brooke Frederickson held strong at the center-back positions. I thought that we did a pretty good job making diagonal runs to the sidelines and into space. Our midfielders were looking to distribute and take opportunities when they had them.”
