A fine gaggle of geese




The return of spring has also brought the return of Canada geese to the area. Gaggles of geese (the collective term for geese on the ground; a group of geese in flight is called a skein) are a familiar sight throughout the northern half of the United States and Canada this time of year, as the migratory birds return from wintering to the south to hatch and raise their goslings.
