HHS to hold budget hearing

The Sheboygan County Health and Human Services Department, in preparation for the development of the 2016 annual budget, will be conducting public hearings to obtain community input regarding current and future programs, services and priorities.

The hearing will be held Wednesday, June 17, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Health and Human Services Building, 1011 N. Eighth St., Sheboygan, in Room 372.

The Health and Human Services Department provides programs and services to meet the needs of the elderly, individuals with a mental illness, developmental disability, chemical dependency or physical disability, low income individuals and families, as well as public health services, services to meet the needs of abused and neglected children and their families, and juvenile delinquency programs.

The facilities are wheelchair accessible. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

The Health and Human Services Committee meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month and agendas are published. Persons who are unable to attend the public hearings are encouraged to attend any of the Tuesday committee meetings.
