First phase of 67 work near end

Work on the first phase of the State 67 road project in the city is nearing completion, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) regional office in Green Bay.

If weather permits, crews are scheduled to begin the remaining concrete pavement first thing this week. The grading work for concrete pavement will continue all week with concrete pours to follow as areas are ready. Grading for concrete sidewalk may begin by the end of this week if the concrete pavement and curb and gutter are completed and concrete strengths are obtained.

Last week, concrete pavement was poured along mainline of Mill Street from the west (Milwaukee Street) to the east match line. Once the proper concrete strength was obtained, crews began sealing joints and grading the side roads, intersections and parking lanes for concrete pavement.
