She volunteered for many causes including quilting at St. John the Baptist Church, as a member of the SJB Christian Women, reading assistance at Fairview School, and sewing Camo Quilts for the military. Most of all, she was a loving wife and mother to her family, attending most events in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

She was an avid gardener, loved traveling, and enjoyed camping across the United States with her family. Her favorite hobbies included weaving baskets, sewing, reading and she loved spending time in the outdoors.
