Ruben A. Kuhlow, 87, of Neenah passed away on Friday morning, June 5, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center.

He was born on July 15, 1927 in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, son of the late Albert and Ella (Rautmann) Kuhlow. Ruben proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII and with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On February 19, 1955 he married Averil L. Ribble at Calvary Bible Church in Neenah. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, four sons, and 60 wonderful years.

Ruben retired from Kimberly Clark as a Pipefitter in 1987 after more than 40 years of service. He was a long-time faithful servant, and a very active member at Calvary Bible Church for many years.

He enjoyed vegetable gardening, bowling, horseshoes, chess, cards, camping, and serving the Lord by serving others. Ruben was a man of great faith, both to his Lord and to his wife. His selfless, joyful, hardworking spirit will be truly missed, but never forgotten by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Averil; children: Julie (Michael) Herchmer, Neenah, Robert (Doreen) Kuhlow, Neenah, Steven (Amy) Kuhlow, Menasha, Alex (Christine) Kuhlow, Neenah, Gregg (Stacey) Kuhlow, Menasha, Lori (Daniel) Ney, Oshkosh; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 6 sisters; 2 brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

The Funeral Service for Ruben will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church (1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah) with Rev. Danny Leavins officiating.

Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruben’s name may be given to Crescent Lake Bible Academy or to Fox Valley Christian Academy.
