Shirley M. Jung, age 80, a Plymouth resident, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, unexpectedly at her home.

She was born on May 25, 1935, daughter of the late William and Viola (Horn) Wilke in the town of Sherman. Shirley attended Adell and Random Lake Schools. On March, 6, 1954 she married Elroy E. Jung at St John’s Lutheran Church, town of Sherman.

Together Shirley and Elroy farmed in the town of Rhine for many years. While on the farm she worked at Tecumseh Products for 30 years until her retirement. Shirley also seasonally worked at a mink ranch in Plymouth. Elroy preceded her in death on January 5, 2006.

Shirley was a member of Community UCC in Elkhart Lake, and was a charter member of Elk-Rhine Riders; serving as secretary for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to many card clubs. She took great pride in working in her yard, especially cutting the grass.

Survivors include a son: Dennis (Diane) Jung, Elkhart Lake; two grandchildren: Derek (Aimee) Jung, town of Plymouth and Kristin (Mike) Gregozeski, Waco, TX; and two great grandchildren: Kathryn and Benjamin. Shirley is further survived by one sister-in-law: Betty Jung, Kiel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Viola Wilke and one sister: Arlene (Norbert) Bluhm.

Funeral Services were held at 4:00 PM. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th Street, Kiel with Pastor Debra Tyler officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends could call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
