LeRoy E. Schmahl, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, WI passed away early Sunday morning (June 14, 2015) at Anita’s Gardens in Plymouth surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 11, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI. a son of the late George and Ella (Becker) Schmahl.

He attended Kiel Grade school and Kiel High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1960.

On September 15, 1973 he married Sharon Lynn Schneider at Salem Reformed Church in Plymouth. The couple has resided in Sheboygan Falls area following their marriage.

He worked for the Kohler Company for years, and then was a truck driver for 34 years. He retired from Sargento Foods Company in Plymouth, in 2001.

He was a member of the Sheboygan County Motorcycle Club and enjoyed camping, playing cards, miniature bowling, and socializing with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years: Sharon of Sheboygan Falls; Seven children: Cheri (Chester) Ladd of Plymouth, Karen Marie Schmahl of Plymouth, Sandra (Joel) Davis of Kiel, George Francis Schmahl of Sheboygan, Roger William Schmahl of Sheboygan Falls, Daniel Lyn Schmahl of Plymouth,and Richard Daniel Schmahl of Sheboygan Falls: Special adopted son Elmer (Jennifer) Schneider; daughters Paige Heule of Kiel and Shayna Schnieder of Sheboygan; Two sisters-in-law; Cindy Ford of Kiel and Sally Jean Schneider of Waldo; one sister; Joyce (Robert) Feldmann of Elkhart Lake.

He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; Pricella (LeRoy) Grosshiem, Valaria (Fritz) Beuchel and Lorraine (Lloyd) Korb.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Evening (June 17, 2015) at 7:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. David Schneider will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday (June 17) from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in LeRoy’s name.

Military Rites will he held following the services at the funeral home by the World Cheese Center Post #5612.
