Louise H. Krueger, 83, of New Holstein passed away Wednesday morning June 24, 2015 at Willowdale Nursing Home where she had been a resident one month.

She was born Sept. 20, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Everett and Louise (Tessmer) Newbury.

She attended Reedsburg Grade School and Reedsburg High School.

On Oct. 20, 1949, she married Herbert Krueger in Michigan. They lived in Theinsville until 1960 when they moved to Greenbush.

She ran the Krueger Auto Service and Salvage until 1975. She worked at Ebenreiter Woodwork until 1988 and Lakeland Sports Center as an inspector until 2005. She resided in Glenbeulah with her longtime companion and love of her life: Eugene Behr. He preceded her in death May 2, 2014.

She enjoyed gardening, baking (being famous for dinner rolls, bread and cookies) and loved long trips to Minocqua and stopping at the Paul Bunyan Restaurant.

Survivors include two daughters: Linda (Gary) Horneck of New Holstein and Sanudray Ohlsson of Florida; eight grandchildren: Lori (John) Kurtz of Sheboygan Falls, Trina Chaney-Hoo of Florida (special friend Sol De Jesus), Steven Hoitink of CA, Sharon Hoitink of CA, Justin (Erin) Krueger O’Boyle of Portage, Bobbi (Krueger) Neese of Sheboygan Falls, Jessie Krueger of Sheboygan Falls and Jamie Krueger of Sheboygan Falls; nineteen greatgrandchildren, two great great grandchildren and two on the way; one daughterin law: Linda Grapentine of Sheboygan Falls; three sisters: Marlene Schmitz of Sauk City, WI, Myrle Schidler of CO and Millie Frank of Thiensville, WI; one brother: Ken (Pam) Newbury of Walsenburg, CO; one brother-in-law: Charles Garnder of Milwaukee.

She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Herbert, two sons: David and James Krueger, love of her life: Eugene Behr, two brothers: Raymond and Russell Newbury; one sister: Gladys Garnder; three brothersin law: Frank Schmitz, Paul Schidler and Harley Frank.

Following Louise’s wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service was held Tuesday, June 30, at the Greenbush Cemetery. Rev. Justin O’Boyle officiated.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
