UWS hosts dual artist exhibit

Area residents are invited to visit the University of Wisconsin- Sheboygan Fine Arts Gallery for its latest art exhibit, “Two Person Show – Knaak and Juarez” by artists Dale Knaak and Frank Juarez throughout the month of July.

An Opening Reception will be held Thursday, July 16, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Fine Arts Gallery.

Frank Juarez is the art department chair at Sheboygan North High School.

In 2011, he has opened his first art gallery, EFFJAY PROJEKTS Gallery (now called the Frank Juarez Gallery), in Sheboygan. Recently, he has been recognized as the 2015 Wisconsin Art Education Association Teacher of the Year.

Dale Knaak is also from Sheboygan.

Currently, he maintains a full-time fine art studio in Sheboygan. He divides his time between fine art drawing and painting, commissioned art and commercial mural projects.

The Fine Arts Gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Most artwork will be available for purchase. For more information about the show or UWSheboygan's Fine Arts Gallery, contact Gallery Director Dan Smith at dan.smith@uwc.edu.
