Chorus recruits women

Sound Celebration Women’s Chorus invites women of all ages from the Fond du Lac, Greenbush and the Sheboygan/Plymouth areas to find their voices! The A Capella woman’s Chorus encourages women interested in singing close four part harmony to participate in open rehearsalsfrom 6:30 to 9:15 PM. The 27-member chorus rehearses at the Greenbush Town Hall on highway 23 at N6644 Hwy. 23 and Sugarbush Road every Tuesday evening. Visitors are welcome to register at 6:30PM.

“This is a competitive chorus that is serious about working hard while having fun to produce a quality vocal sound,” says Cinda Langhoff of Sheboygan, the group’s president. “We compete two times a year, in June and November, and produce a local performance every October. If you love harmony, you’ll love singing with this chorus,” Langhoff continues.

“Every rehearsal is fun, but our local performance and the two competitions are the highlights of the year,” continues Cinda of the Sheboygan area, a longtime member of the chorus.

Sound Celebration has been a chartered chapter of Harmony, Inc. for over 40 years. Harmony, Inc. is an international organization of women who enjoy singing in the classic barbershop style. Visitors and prospective members are especially welcome to attend rehearsals on these two Tuesday nights in January, meet the chorus members and director, Janice Westphal.
