LeROY HINES

LeRoy Hines, 73, of Plymouth, WI passed away unexpectedly on Monday (July 13, 2015) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

He was born on September 20, 1941 in Alliance, NE, son of the late Alfred and Gladys (Mallory) Hines and step-son of the late John Hill.

LeRoy attended schools in Alliance, NE. He was very proud of obtaining his Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts. He worked at Rainbo Bread Co. in Denver, CO for 39 years, retiring in July 2000. On July 29, 1983, he married Donna Richter-Urbas in Denver, CO.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing and watching sports and riding his motorcycle. Later in life, LeRoy enjoyed gardening, taking care of his lawn, bowling, telling stories and his annual trip to Deadwood, SD. LeRoy had a great sense of humor and brought smiles to everyone he met. He loved socializing with his many friends at the Brown Bottle in Plymouth and you were sure to get a good joke as well.

He is survived by his loving wife: Donna of Plymouth; three step-children: Terri (Jim) Hermann of Cleveland, WI, Lisa Warner and Stacy Pieper, both of Plymouth; six grandchildren: Tom (Stacy) Hermann, Russell Warner, Tracy (friend Nic) Warner, Andrea (Dustan) Hacker, Zach and Jordyn Pieper; six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Margie Janke of Elkhart Lake and Marilyn (Al) Feld of Crystal Lake; one niece: Sue (Terry) Van Akkeren; Two nephews: Lance (fiance Amy) Janke and Andrew (Karen) Feld; special friends: Tony Urbas, Jim Pieper and neighbors Harry and LaVerne.

He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his sister: Shirley; special friend: Dawn Urbas and his loving cat of 21 years: Eight Ball.

Following LeRoy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services are being held.

A gathering to celebrate LeRoy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 2:00 P.M. at the Brown Bottle in Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in LeRoy’s name.
