ELAINE ELIZABETH Ten Pas BURGESS

Elaine Elizabeth Ten Pas Burgess, 80, of Plymouth, WI completed her life’s journey at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice on Saturday evening July 11, 2015.

Elaine was born in Sheboygan, WI, to the late John and Lillian (Schumacher) Ten Pas on October 1, 1934.

She attended schools in Sheboygan, Arizona and Florida.

Elaine was an Insurance underwriter in Florida. After returning to Sheboygan County she worked for Younkers for several years.

She enjoyed her life in Plymouth. Elaine belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hats, and the Women’s Civic Society of Plymouth. She also served on the City of Plymouth Committee on Aging.

Elaine loved her trips to the Northwoods and going to the Casino. Friday night card games with the Giese’s families were a highlight of her Wisconsin life.

Elaine is survived by her cousin; Glenn (Christine) Schumacher of Plymouth and their children: Deborah (Vic) Meyer of Plymouth, Teresa Schumacher of Columbus, WI, Kathleen (John) Pethan of Manitowoc and Joel (Nicole) Schumacher of Howards Grove. She is further survived by her cousins: Barbara (John) Wildeman of Sheboygan Falls, Dale (Diana) Schumacher of Hartford, Jerry Karsteadt of Howards Grove and her godson Gary (Charisse) Karseadt of Tomahawk; her Ten Pas cousins: Jean (John) Kiedaisch of Vermont, Libby (Rick) Hunter of Oregon, Tom (Mary Jo) Ten Pas of Washington, John Ten Pas of Massachusetts, William Ten Pas of Oregon, Lynn McNese of Hawaii and Sue Anderson of Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather: John Artman; one brother: Jerome; cousins: George Schumacher and Audrey Karsteadt .

Memorial services will be held on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman. Rev. Laura Yurs, pastor of the church will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Hingham Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday morning July 18, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name for the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
