INSPIRE Sheboygan County names executive director

INSPIRE Sheboygan County has named Nikki Kiss as its new executive director effective June 1.

Kiss replaces Peter Geise in the position.

“Nikki was the co-chair of the Business Education Partnership (BEP) committee from which INSPIRE was born,” said Geise. “She’s very familiar with the educational environment and will drive expanded use of the system plus development and execution of a social media strategy to increase reach.”

Kiss brings over eight years of experience in the world of educa- tion and particularly employereducation connections, previously serving as a high school liaison, steering the initial launch of Youth Apprenticeship through Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) and most recently serving as director of institutional effectiveness at LTC.

“We were impressed by Nikki’s experience working with area schools, her involvement with the creation of INSPIRE Sheboygan County and her enthusiasm for advancing career and college readiness,” commented Mike Trimberger, board president of INSPIRE Sheboygan County. “We want to thank Peter for his leadership, vision, and determination that has helped to set the fly-wheel in motion for this community-wide initiative. We are excited to have Nikki join INSPIRE to continue to build on that momentum.”

Geise, a co-founder of INSPIRE, will end his involvement with INSPIRE starting June 30, allowing for a one month transition period which will be used to introduce Kiss to local schools and businesses.

INSPIRE Sheboygan County is a collaboration between area employers and schools offering powerful career exploration and discovery tools to connect young people with their best career options and employers to their future workforce.

The organization currently partners with every school in Sheboygan County and 58 local businesses.

It serves over 9,000 students, more than 470 education counselors and educators and works with over 300 area employees serving as career coaches.
