PAUL JAMES COPPERSMITH

Paul James Coppersmith, 54,of Plymouth, WI. passed away on July 23, 2015 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls following a year-long courageous battle with cancer.

Paul was born in Plymouth, WI on July 22, 1961, the son of Jeanette Coppersmith (Kassner) and the late Philip J. Coppersmith.

He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1979.

Since high school, Paul was employed by his family’s business, Filippo & Sons, Inc., currently celebrating its 50th year. He served as a company shareholder and dispatcher among many other duties.

Paul was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and was a member of Harley Owners Group (H.O.G). He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family, watching sports, especially NASCAR and talking politics with friends and family.

Paul is survived by his loving daughter: Ashley (Brandon) O’Donnell of Hainesville, IL; two grandchildren: Madison and Alex; his Mother: Jeanette Coppersmith of Plymouth; five brothers and sisters: Cathy (Chuck) Lee of Port Washington, Ann (Brian) Hellmer of Cascade, David (Roberta) Coppersmith of Plymouth, Steve (Erin) Coppersmith of Plymouth and Phil Coppersmith of Plymouth; and wife of the late Philip J. Coppersmith: Karen Coppersmith of Denmark; his nieces and nephews Ryan (Katie) Lee of Wauwatosa and their children: Michael and Mason, Rob (Amy) Lee of Gladstone, MI and their children: Jackson and Everett, Brittany Coppersmith of Plymouth, Alisha Coppersmith of Chicago, Hannah, Joey and Kate Coppersmith all of Plymouth; and his special best friends: Bryan and Wendy Lueck of Glenbeulah.

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Paul is preceded in death by his father: Philip; his grandparents: Mary and Joseph Kassner, Vital and Bernice Coppersmith, his aunt Carol Kassner and uncle Donald Coppersmith and he still mourned the loss of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday Morning (August 1) at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday evening,

(July 31), from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and at the church on Saturday (August 1) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Paul’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice or the Gift of Life Foundation in Plymouth.
