Teen given life sentence

A Sheboygan teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his father and hiding his body in their apartment for nearly a week.

Nineteen-year-old Dorian Torres will be eligible for supervised release when he’s 47 years old.

Sheboygan Press Media reports Judge Terence Bourke sentenced Torres on Friday. The judge said the teen acted selfishly and “showed no conscience’’ and “no remorse.’’

After the teen waived a trial by jury, Bourke found him guilty last month of first-degree intentional homicide. Torres took the stand during his trail and admitted his struck his 41-year-old father, Emilio Torres, multiple times in the head with a mallet. Dorian Torres was 17 at the time of the January 2014 killing.
