ROBERT WIRTZ

Robert Wirtz, 79, of Glenbeulah, WI passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Waterford in Plymouth.

He was born on March 11, 1936 in the town of Greenbush, son of the late Herbert and Evangeline (Entringer) Wirtz.

He attended St. Cloud Schools and graduated from Glenbeulah High School.

He served in the U.S. Marines from 1954-1958. On October 28, 1961 he married Sandra Bartz a St. Fridolin’s Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. The couple has resided in Glenbeulah since the marriage.

He drove truck for many different companies. He also farmed the family homestead with his brother Joe for 25 years.

He was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church where he was an usher for many years.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, custom combining, going up north and spending time with his loving family.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra; son: Richard (Lori) Wirtz of Two Rivers, and his daughter Patricia Wirtz (partner: Angelo Dallas and sons Alex and David Dallas); two grandchildren: Richard (Amy) Wirtz of Plymouth and Adam (Samatha) Wirtz of New York; one great-grandson: Benjamin Wirtz; four brothers: Dennis (Pat) Wirtz, Joe (Terry) Wirtz, Pete (Rose) Wirtz, and John (Elsie) Wirtz; three sisters: Verla Schneider, Marlene (Dave) Schaefer, and Jane Wirtz. Robert is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack Wirtz and sister Linda Zorn.

Following Robert’s wishes cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Sunday, August 9 from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Robert’s name.
