Free pregnancy help center offers counseling, screening

Sheboygan County’s first pregnancy help center welcomes area residents to an open house Thursday and Friday, September 10 and 11 from 3:30 – 8 pm.

The public is invited to stop in and visit the newly renovated facility, located at 703 N 9th Street, next to Mead Library.

Come and hear about the free services that will be offered when the Center opens and the plans for future expansion, including ultra sound services. Tours of the facility will be offered and refreshments served.

New Hope’s free services are available to all individuals experiencing an unexpected pregnancy, especially individuals who are uncertain of their available options.

The Center provides compassionate, non-judgmental consultation and educational services consistent with the sanctity of human life.

Free services offered through New Hope include pregnancy screening, education on abortion and alternatives, confidential support, material aid, community referrals and more.

Board Chairman, Gary Hughes, states, “We are proud to be able to offer support to pregnant moms, and we welcome the public to come in and visit our newly renovated facility. We are grateful for the countless volunteers and businesses who have made generous contributions to make this much needed Center a reality.”

New Hope Pregnancy Center is a 501 (c) 3 established in 2013 to serve the residents of Sheboygan County.

The volunteer board consists of eight members and medical director, Dr. Mark Knabel. The center is affiliated with Heartbeat International and is fully funded by private donations.
