Thresheree at Pinecrest

Join the Manitowoc County Historical Society and the Mid- Lakes Rustic Iron club as the organizations host the annual Tractor Show and Thresheree at Pinecrest Historical Village on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will be able to see live field demonstrations of vintage farming practices including diesel, gasoline, kerosene and steam powered tractors. Farming practices will also be completed with draft horses. The feature for the 2015 show will be Minneapolis-Moline tractors and equipment.

Agriculture related activities will take place in over 25 historic buildings at Pinecrest Historical Village. Visitors will be able to learn about historic trades such as blacksmithing and cheese making, learn how to cook on a woodstove, discover pioneer chores and games and much more. A strongest farmhand contest will be held both days for children age 5 to 13. Prizes will be awarded.

A Village Fair with popular old fashioned games will also be part of this year’s event.

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children and $18 for families (includes 2 adults and children under the age of 17). MCHS and MLRIC members receive free admission.

Pinecrest Historical Village is located three miles west of I-43 off County JJ in Manitowoc County at 924 Pinecrest Rd., Manitowoc.
