Cheesehead Chase benefits Safe Harbor, scholarship fund


THE 23RD ANNUAL Cheesehead Chase in Plymouth July 11 drew over 600 participants. – Review photo by Greg Ceilley THE 23RD ANNUAL Cheesehead Chase in Plymouth July 11 drew over 600 participants. – Review photo by Greg Ceilley PLYMOUTH – The 23nd Annual Cheesehead Chase in Plymouth July 11 raised over $6,500 to benefit the Safe Harbor Domestic Abuse Shelter for Sheboygan County and the Plymouth Professional Business Women’s scholarship fund.

The PPBW hosted the Cheesehead Chase which drew over 600 participants. The event included a five-mile run, two-mile run/walk, and a Cheese Curd Run for ages 5 and under which was one-block long.

Parker Kastelic, 21, of Plymouth was the overall champion in the male two-mile race for the second straight year. Kastelic was clocked in 1 minutes, 16 seconds. He edged out Ashton Arnold, 15, of Elkhart Lake who finished second at 11:17.

The overall female winner in the two-mile run was Katie Guse, 16, of Plymouth in 13:59. The runnerup was Izzy Kastelic, 14, of Plymouth in 14:02.

Earning second was Kiel’s Traci Revis, 38, in 37:41.

Carlos Chaj, 26, of Kiel was the overall male champion in the five-mile run with a time of 32:51. Kohler’s Jack Kral, 15, placed second with a 33:19 effort.
