Joanie Marie Lemkuil, 56, of Plymouth. WI passed away early Tuesday evening (August 25, 2015) at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a hard fought battle with brain cancer.

Joanie was born on July 2, 1959, in Plymouth, WI, a daughter of Earl Diels and the late Mary (Berenz) Diels.

She attended St. John the Baptist Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1977.

Joanie worked at K.W. Muth/Lear Corp in Sheboygan for many years and Johnsonville Sausage Company. She also was employed at Sargento Foods in Plymouth until her illness forced her to retire. She enjoyed backing her Wisconsin teams ( Packers, Badgers and Brewers), the sound of Harley Motorcycles and spending time with her family, friends and her canine companion: Buster.

Survivors include: One daughter: Amanda (Kyle) Balk of Oshkosh; her father: Earl Diels of Plymouth; her companion: Mark Goetsch of Plymouth; three sisters: Nancy (Matt) Reindl of Plymouth, Judy (Manuel) Casarez of Cedar Grove, Debbie (Jeff) Lensmire of Plymouth; nieces and nephews: Ronald Radloff of Plymouth, Chad (Chris) Radloff of Plymouth, Amy Lynn Kalmas of Elkhart Lake, Rose (Ryan ) Janke of Port Washington, Becky Casarez of Port Washington, Stephani Casarez of Plymouth, Manuel Casarez Jr. of Cedar Grove, Jeffrey Lensmire Jr. of Florida, Jason (Nikki) Lensmire of Plymouth, Benjamin Lensmire of Plymouth, Jeremy (Chris) Lensmire of Plymouth, Stacey (Brad) Haendel of St. Cloud. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Mary; infant twin sister: Jean Marie Diels; and infant brother: Jeffrey Earl Diels.

Following Joanie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon (August 29, 2015) at 1:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth will officiate.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday until the time of services. Inurnment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joanie’s name.
